Movie Review: Paranormal Activity 3

Not another one!!! We followed along and watched the third installment of Paranormal Activity after recently watching the previous one.

Paranormal Activity 3 goes back a whopping 18 years further back in time and is a prequel to the prequel that was Paranormal Activity 2. Here, you gain insight to the twisted background of the focal family of the series.

I actually liked this movie the least from the series so far, and it isn't just because it is rumored to be the scariest (I promise!). As nice as it was to learn more about what led to all the dark events that came to be, the characters in this movie were a lot less relatable and interesting. If there was a perfect example to describe a movie that is simultaneously creepy and boring, this would be it. However, the movie did employ some cool new camera angles to give you more of a fright, and that was a refreshing change.

Verdict: 2/5 - Unless you're really desperate for more of the subtle scares from the first two movies, or curious to know more about the main characters, I wouldn't recommend watching this.
