Kebabers: Cheese Kebabs

kebabers
Why, yes, good sir. I am cravin' for kebabs.
With places in the Fort like Kasbah and The Kebab Factory ( now closed :( ), it is definitely a refreshing change to see a seemingly more affordable restaurant for Mediterranean food.

Fun place!
I was happy to see the lively interior. This was definitely worth the walk! I couldn't wait to eat.

Peppered Steak (Double Up!, Iced Tea included not in picture), P145.00
We started off simple, and this looked a lot simpler than it did in the picture. The meat was misono-ish (ergo, too thin for my taste) and it was pretty plain. A bit of the garlic and spicy sauce helped, though. I wish it was just a huge container like in other restaurants, instead of just tiny saucers. The iced tea was normal, too.

3 pcs Cheese Kebab Rice (Left to right: Fish, Chicken, Beef), P125.00
additional P15.00 for softdrink
You can order this in Beef or Chicken or Fish, but luckily they let you mix and match so we were able to try all three. The rice, sauces, and tomato were all decent. I wish I could say the same for the kebabs. Haha.
Fish - It was a bit weird. It was very processed so it tasted a lot like fish nuggets or kikiam or something.
Chicken - Great idea, bad quality. It tasted like one of those cheap CDO meats you buy from the grocery's freezer.
Beef - The best of the bunch, it was meaty enough and had a good amount of cheese. I found it to be quite small, but it wasn't bad for the price.

Verdict:
Peppered Steak: Okay
Fish Cheese Kebab Rice: Bad
Chicken Cheese Kebab Rice: Okay
Beef Cheese Kebab Rice: Okay

Fun place, but the food wasn't as good as I hoped this time. They still have a bunch of other items though, so I would definitely still want to go back.
